Second Trailer And Teaser For Takashi Miike's PHOENIX WRIGHT: ACE ATTORNEY
If you're going to hand the big screen adaptation of a popular Nintendo DS game to any director that director may as well be Takashi Miike. Once renowned for his transgressive tendencies - urges that still crop up from time to time - Miike has proven himself in recent years to also be a master at capturing cartoon physics in real world environments. The man has simply never come across an outlandish character or ridiculous gag that he couldn't wedge in somehow and those abilities make him just the man for the job.
The game in question is Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, a courtroom scifi comedy set in an alternate future where prosecutors and defense attorneys are given just three days to battle cases out in open court. Showmanship, it seems safe to say, is key.
We ran the debut trailer for the film a while back and that has now been followed by a second full trailer as well as a second teaser. We seem to have missed the first teaser when that cropped up so I'm including it below as well.
