The End Comes With Asteroids, Sex And An Enormous Woman In APOCALYPSE, CA

Chad Peter is looking to make the step from internet sensation to full fledged film maker. The director of Sex, Drugs & Natalie Portman has recruited the help of special effects man Ryan Wieber - an Emmy winner and also the guy behind the Ryan Vs Dorkman online shorts - to create end of the world feature comedy Apocalypse, CA. Here's the official word:

Wry, cynical and full of off-beat humor, APOCALYPSE, CA is the story of John Parsons and his ill-fated friends as they prepare for certain death at the hands of a massive asteroid, sex-inducing drugs, a three-hundred foot giant, and a horde of other unfortunate problems. APOCALYPSE, CA is an indie cult film of catastrophic proportions, featuring outstanding visual effects from artists Ryan Wieber (Ryan vs. Dorkman) and Teague Chrystie (The Pacific) in this feature film directorial debut by Chad Peter (behind the popular Internet short films, Sex, Drugs & Natalie Portman & Roleplayed).

The first trailer for this has just arrived and while very definitely a low budget indie it's also got an excellent sense of timing, what look to be some very solid performances, and some very fun special effects work. Plus women who are not hard to look at which, while not enough to build a movie around, is certainly a plus. Check it out below.
