EasyFinder magazine published a recent edition of their magazine with photos of Twin, Gillian Chung, on the cover changing between sets at a Malaysian concert. Sellers couldn't keep them on the shelves as copies quickly sold. Copies of the magazine are being sold on the internet for HK$50; the magazine sells for HK$20 on newstands. An additional 15,000 copies printed to meet demand have already sold out. The magazine only went on sale Monday.

Chung is understandably upset and Malaysian officials have promised to find the perpetrator and punish them. The Easy Finder magazine edition containing pictures of Canto-pop idol Gillian Chung Yan-tung changing her clothes has been classified as Class II indecent by the Obscene Articles Tribunal. The interim Class II classification, which means the issue cannot be sold to anyone under 18, came as complaints about the publication doubled in a day to 1,726. Publisher Next Media has five days after receiving notice of the classification to seek a full hearing. The Hong Kong Performing Artistes Guild also met at the end of this week to figure out how to counteract against the paparazzi. The pics were visibly taken through some sort of peep hole. Honestly though, when the Twins have to take their garbage with them when they leave a hotel you just get the sense that something has to be done.

I use sites like AsianFanatics to find links to news from HK and China. Some of the nonsense I have to file through just to find a noteworthy piece of info is amazing. Who is dating who? Who was photographed in what car leaving what restaurant? Even as we gear up for TIFF here in Toronto the front pages were splashed with which Celebes were coming to town. Complete front pages.

So is it the nature of the beast? Is it to be expected or are we expecting too much from our celebrities? How much is too much?
