Not often that there's a Movie out of England at all - we make less than 100 a year apparently - and a comedy one is rare too. Good guess says this is the British Comedy movie of the year... which will be instantly forgotten and bypassed by the masses. Admitedly, there must be loads of films made in the UK which suffer from absolutely no publicity, and unless someone manages to hear what's directly coming out of the UK then it has a knock-on effect, surely? Anyway, my point is, it was only from an incidental mention on the TV that I knew anything about this coming, seen nothing about it online that pointed to what it is.

Last years example was 'Festival', which went on to win the Best Comedy Movie prize at the British Comedy Awards, and even Jonathan Ross - a man paid to watch films, as well as a key figure in British Comedy in various ways thanks to Channel X and more - hadn't seen it, the crowd didn't seem to have even heard of it, and you had a hard time (as with 'Confetti') finding any real press in relation to it. Stars Jimmy Carr, Olivia Colman & Robert Webb (from 'Peep Show'), Felicity Montagu (from 'Alan Partridge'), Julia Davis (of 'Nighty Night'), Jessica Stephenson (from 'Shaun of the Dead' and 'Spaced'), Martin Freeman (of 'The Office'), Mark Heap & Stephen Mangan (from 'Green Wing') and loads more too... opens soon (May 5th 2006) in the UK, this coming Summer (2006) in the USA apparently.
