Wim Wenders' Land of Plenty

Wim Wenders' highly controversial latest feature Land of Plenty is going to be released by French production company TF1 on May 26. In 2004 Land of Plenty won the prestigious UNESCO award at the Venice International Film Festival. While America and the rest of the world were condemning terrorism Wenders' film offered a rather provocative take on the events of September 11 through a story line that spurred some interesting reactions.

Land of Plenty follows the story of a young girl that faces the aftermath of September 11 after returning back home to America. Wenders touches upon many of the controversial issues the American society had to graple with and offers a radical look at what led to the tragic events.
