Alex Garland pens Halo
Just on the horn with Todd tonight while he saves the T-Dot from fires and he mentioned this juicy bit of news that I am just picking up bits and bytes on now.
Question: Has Uwe Boll done the unthinkable and ruined video game adaptations for us until the sun burns out and we all freeze to death? While it seems so, and our trust these adpatations is waning, Microsoft has done something about it.
Microsoft has hired Alex Garland, the man responsible for The Beach [Novel-Danny Boyle movie], 28 Days Later [Danny Boyle movie], and The Tesseract [Novel-Pang Bros movie]to adapt the script. The screenplay will be shopped to studios as an all-in-one package: script & rights.
Well, I might as well say it too. Given that the man has already filmed two of Garland's works wouldn't it be simple just to let Danny Boyle direct it? Just spit-ballin' here.
