Ramaskrik Oppdal Film Festival: Horror Hits The Mountains of Norway
ScreenAnarchy is always on the lookout for interesting destination festivals around the World and we have just been alerted to a genre film festival in Oppdal, Norway called Ramaskrik. The sixth edition of the festival is just over a week away so we do not think we are going to get anyone into the mountains of Norway any time soon but from the looks of their lineup attendees are going to have a monsterously good time that weekend.
You will see that there are a lot of favorites from the festival circuit this year including Train to Busan, Pet and Under the Shadow. There are special events like the homecoming screening of André Øvredal's The Autopsy of Jane Doe and retro screening of The Omen. And how about the train ride screening of Howl? Does Ramaskrik know how to party or what? At only 30 seats per screening we bet those sold out in a flash.

Ramaskrik is an international genre film festival located in Oppdal, Norway. This years film program mirrors both favorites from other leading film festivals as well as small gems that the Ramaskrik-team have searched long and hard to find.This year TROLLHUNTERs director André Øvredal will visit the festival and show his newest award-winning flick THE AUTOPSY OF JANE DOE. This will be the first time the film is shown in his native country of Norway.Another unique thing going on this year is our amazing train screening of HOWL. In an collaboration with the Norwegian State Railways and the Norwegian Railway Museum we will have two screenings of HOWL in a special designed railroad car at the Oppdal railway station.
