FOR TRAILERS, SEE THE BOTTOM OF THIS ARTICLE
Michael Winnick's Shadow Puppets is scheduled to be screened at the Brussels International Festival of Fantastic Film (BIFFF) on April 16th. (ScreenAnarchy - in association with GOMORRAHY.com - is still providing a downloadable theatrical trailer for the movie; there's a downloadable teaser trailer for it on the website of international sales agent Shoreline Entertainment Inc..)
The screenplay for Shadow Puppets was written by Winnick. According to the Internet Movie Database (IMDb), the movie stars Jolene Blalock as Kate, Tony Todd as Steve, James Marsters as Jack, Marc Winnick as Charlie, Natasha Alam as Amber, Diahnna Nicole Baxter as Stacy, Richard Whiten as Dave, and Jenni Ford as Melissa.
Here's a description of Shadow Puppets from the BIFFF website: "She awakes in a padded room. She can't remember who she is, where she is or how she got here. Outside of the cell, there is no one. But she is trapped, locked inside this strangely abandoned facility. Sounds can be heard echoing throughout the corridors. Horrible sounds; clawing, scraping, hissing, screaming. Sounds intent on killing her. There are others like her, other captives who can't remember who they are or how they got here. There is one thing they can all agree upon. They must escape. And they must do it soon. Because those terrifying sounds echoing throughout the facility are being made by the very shadows themselves, shadows that can't be stopped by walls, doors or weapons, shadows that have already taken the lives of everyone else at the facility and whose only intent is to take the very essence that makes them live.
Shadow Puppets is simply scary and effective, keeping you in suspense from beginning to end, thanks to its unique special effects, original premise and many genuine jump-out-of-your-seat moments. The soundtrack and unusual sound effects only add to the sense of terror. Jolene Blalock (Star Trek: Enterprise, Stargate SG1), James Marsters (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Smallville) and horror-icon Tony Todd (Candyman, Final Destination, Hatchet) are all excellent. Shadow Puppets is a real treat for horror fans."
