NoShame Details for Mariano Baino's 'Dark Waters' (aka 'Dead Waters', 1994) R1 USA DVD September 26t
A little further into the present for NoShame's latest announcement. Well, I say announcement, this was revealed a while back in a simple mention of upcoming releases. Now the details are in, it's easy to see this is a very extensive collection of additional material beyond the film itself, and also includes a selection of short films by the Director.
Regarded as an underrated film from Italy's recent past, the buzz on the film itself as a possible NoShame release has been very considerable. Now we know that, "NoShame Films is proud to present one of the most wanted horror film in a new Hi-Def digital master, transferred from the original negative. The entire DVD was created under the exclusive supervision of the director." we can get a little more excited. It's due September 26th 2006 on R1 USA DVD. Scrap the free gift things though - over 18, interested in the film, don't like paying too much postage.
Anyway, a rarity, an Italian-Directed Horror from the 90's that effectively harks back to the similar films of the 70's, and shot in the Ukraine I think. A mood piece with holes in the plot, but something special that's lusted after.
