DEATHNOTE: LIGHT UP THE NEW WORLD Coming Soon to Screens Down Under

Before we bear witness to Adam Wingard's (The Guest, You're Next) live-action remake version of the extremely popular long-form anime and manga series Death Note, Shinsuke Sato (the Gantz films) takes a shot with Light Up The New World. Please note prior knowledge and viewing of Death Note is essential to understand the latest film.

Madman Entertainment are proud to bring this film to anime fanatics across Australia and New Zealand, as well as show off some of its assets in the upcoming Anime Festival! More after the jump.

Death Note: Light Up The New World is set ten years after the confrontation between Kira and L, in a world now afflicted with cyber-terrorism. The Death Note is a supernatural notebook that grants its user the power to kill simply by writing a person’s name on its pages. Six different Death Notes fall to the human world - the maximum number of notes that can exist at once. In the midst of this, two new individuals inherit the DNA of Light Yagami and L and must play a deadly game of cat-and-mouse once again.
