Toronto 2015: Mike Flanagan's 'Secret Project' HUSH Creates Buzz At Buyers Screening
It is been a kind of up and down week for Oculus and Ouija 2 director Mike Flanagan. Earlier in the week a horror film he made with Relativity Media, Before I Wake, got shelved while that company continues to deal with their bankruptcy concerns. Bummer.

Skip ahead to last night and The Wrap reporting that there was a buyers screening here in Toronto for a 'secret project' that Flangan has been working on called Hush. It stars Oculus alumnus Kate Siegel, who also wrote the film with Flanagan. It was produced by Intrepid and Blumhouse, who were both in on Oculus when it sold at TIFF back in 2013. WME Global is handling film sales and the report suggests that the screening went over so well that the film is expected to sell this weekend.

Yet, no one is saying what it is about, which is super frustrating. Regardless, based on your previous works, you have our attention once again, Mr. Flanagan.

He deserves a whole lot better than some Blumhouse sequel. Although it will probably end up being far superior to the original.

But if it gives him a leg up in Hollywood and a crack at a legitimate hit then I guess he knows what he's doing.

Want.

He deserves not to be judged based on the fact that he's making a sequel.
