Hikari Mitsushima is ready for her extreme close-up, Mr. deMille!
Once upon a time, Japanese idols were supposed to be vapid, nice-looking kids who were "the hot thing" for a moment, after which they'd fade into the oblivion of the talentless to be replaced by the next one.
But as of late we're seeing idols who refuse to go down that easily. Idols who successfully start acting careers and, surprise surprise, turn out not to be talentless at all.

Case in point: the lovely Hikari Mitsushima.
After a modeling career and the apparently necessary J-pop hit, she got more and more in the picture in several independent arthouse productions, and turned out to be an impressive actress with a wicked sense of comedic timing while still able to do drama decently as well. I'd love to give examples but her resumeƩ isn't THAT big yet, and I'm afraid I would be spoiling things a bit. Nevertheless I was surprised to see how many of her films I already had in my collection, some of them quite well-known too...

It's been a while since we did one of these, a proper Mr. deMille. So once again I'm going to use a turn in the ScreenAnarchy-O-Meter to do a gallery of 5 close-ups of one of my favorite thespians. Guess which movies they're from.
No competition, no prizes, just for fun, try to see how far you get without using IMDB. And I'll post the answers on Saturday (earlier if someone has all 5 of them right).
