1st Thailand Stunt Award To Honor Thai Stuntmen
With Thailand's ever continuing growth in the martial arts and action genre with their trademark reputation for hard-hitting brutality, it only seems fitting to form an award show there to give recognition for their hard work. Lom Krasib Film International Company, in collaboration with the Culture Ministry, has answer this call, organizing the very first Thailand Stunt Award - a ceremony that will honor the contribution of the fine stunt men and women within the Thai's film industry.  As a strong appreciator of the dangerous stuntwork, it warms my heart to finally put a human face to these unsung heroes for a change rather than seeing their face get bashed for our entertainment.

There will be 13 categories in total with some of these awards include Best Fight, Best Fire, Best High Work, Best Overall Stunt by a Stunt Person, Best Specialty Stunt and my personal favorite, Hardest Hit.  A full list of the nominees is available at the official site but unfortunately its in Thai (Is there any gracious Thai-speaking reader willing to translate and post the full nominee list in the comments section for us?).

The ceremony will be held on May 15th.  Embedded below are some videos promoting the event.
