Twitch, in association with GOMORRAHY.com, is now providing a downloadable QuickTime version of a segment on Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury's Inside (À l'intérieur) from Daphné Roulier's Canal+ show L'hebdo cinéma; it's still providing downloadable QuickTime versions of the theatrical trailer, two teaser trailers, and two diaporama videos for the movie.
Inside is scheduled to have its world première at the 46th International Critics' Week (46e Semaine Internationale de la Critique - "SIC" for short) in Cannes on May 24th at 10:30 p.m. (22:30), and to subsequently be screened there on May 26th at 11:30 p.m. (23:30) - notwithstanding the fact that SIC officially ends on May 25th. (Note: Like the Directors' Fortnight (Quinzaine des Réalisateurs), SIC is a parallel section of the Cannes Film Festival (Festival de Cannes).) Distribution rights for the movie are to be offered for sale by Dreamachine (Celluloid Dreams and HanWay Films) at this year's Marché du Film in Cannes, which runs from May 16th to 26th. Distribution rights for it for all English-speaking territories have been acquired by The Weinstein Company. La Fabrique de Films is scheduled to release it theatrically in France on June 13th.
The screenplay for Inside was written by Bustillo. The movie stars Béatrice Dalle, Alysson Paradis, Nicolas Duvauchelle, François-Régis Marchasson, Nathalie Roussel, Aymen Saïdi, Jean-Baptiste Tabourin, Dominique Frot, and Claude Lulé.
Here's a synopsis for Inside from the production: "Sarah, a young photographer, is by herself on Christmas eve. She's been alone since her husband died tragically in a car accident. Today is the last day she has to spend at home before going to hospital to induce labour. The calm is interrupted by a knock on the door. Confronted by a mysterious woman, Sarah is immediately suspicious, and refuses to let her in; however, the woman will not leave. Sarah suddenly feels afraid and calls the police. In the gloom outside, the woman watches her through the picture windows. Yet, when the police show up, the woman is gone. With riots raging in the neighbouring suburb, the distracted policemen comfort Sarah and leave. Sarah locks herself away in her house, unaware that the woman is now inside. As she feels her first contractions, she does all she can to fight back this madwoman hellbent on taking one thing...."
