Update on Takashi Miike's latest project: RYÛ GA GOTOKU - JISSHA-BAN - a two-part promo movie for S
"Ryû ga gotoku - jissha-ban: zenpen" - the 20-minute long first part of Ryû ga gotoku - jissha-ban - has now been added to Enterbrain Inc.'s Famitsu.com website.
As was reported here on ScreenAnarchy last month, Ryû ga gotoku - jissha-ban is a two-part promo movie for Sega Corporation's PlayStation 2 game Ryû ga gotoku. The movie provides a background story for the game.
Miike is credited as having been the integration director (sôgô kantoku) for Ryû ga gotoku - jissha-ban, and Takeshi Miyasaka is credited as having been the director (kantoku) of it. The screenplay for it was written by Masa Nakamura. It stars Masakatsu Funaki, Mikio Ôsawa, Ayaka Maeda, Harumi Sone, and Hirotarô Honda.
Enterbrain is scheduled to release "Ryû ga gotoku - jissha-ban: kôhen" - the second part of Ryû ga gotoku - jissha-ban - on Famitsu.com on December 9th. The two parts are scheduled to be released on the official website for Ryû ga gotoku (the PS2 game) on December 9th and December 16th, respectively. There are plans to sell a deluxe release of Ryû ga gotoku - jissha-ban in Japan in the spring of next year.
