Fully Loaded, Crowdfunded Action Thriller, THE ORDER, Taps Nick Gillard For His Directorial Debut

Anyone unfamiliar with the name Nick Gillard will be delighted at his work credits in stunts on film. He's the one who buys it from behind a tank periscope in Indiana Jones: The Last Crusade and has also served as stunt coordinator for all three Star Wars prequels as well as Timur Bekmambetov's Wanted and Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow.

Such credits and more deservedly make Gillard a worthy candidate to direct his own movie someday and thankfully that day won't be far of with the production of the new ensemble action movie, The Order, slated to start in January. Actors Austin St. John and David Yost lead a vibrant cast roster comprised of notable stars of the hit Power Rangers series spanning more than two decades, thus adhering to the call by loyal fans for a gritty, edgy, stylish and slick feature length action thriller with all the trimmings much like what actor and martial artist Johnny Yong Bosch achieved in Sakamoto Koichi's highly mistreated and much more deserving 2009 action thriller, Broken Path.

The Order is an action packed movie that follows a covert group of vigilantes. This group is often times the shadow to groups like the FBI and CIA. The men and women of The Order, are trained, living weapons. They operate in secret. They have dedicated their lives to eliminating violent threats and imminent disasters. Their one focus is to fight to keep humanity safe from complete societal breakdown and maintain world order. The Order has faced the worst of enemies, but are crippled by the discovery that this world assault they now face, is being lead by some of their very own. Throw everything you thought you knew out the the window, you won't know the good guys from the bad.

Gillard's attachment signals the departure of Hellbinders helmer David Wald. The film is written by Johnny Yong Bosch and Karan Ashley who executive produces with David Fielding, all of whom join St. John and Yost along with Walter Emmanuel Jones, Catherine Sutherland, Nakia Burrise, Jason Faunt, Paul Schrier, Jason Narvy, Erin Cahill, Steve Cardenas, Azim Rizk, Blake Foster, Dan Southworth, Yoshua Sudarso, Alyson Kiperman-Sullivan, Deborah Estelle Phillips, Hilary Shepard and more.
