Classic TV Series Review: Sunset Beach, American soap opera from 1997!

During the 80s and 90s, looking good people like "Days of our lives", body building figure like "Baywatch", cheesy plot or just for fun like "the Bold and the Beautiful" was the every day soap opera on TV, but very few of them were taking serious. However "Sunset Beach" was a unique TV drama that not only was cheesy or fun with beautiful people, but it was also interesting, intriguing, exiting, and a story of several serious matters. With over 700 episodes and broadcast in television worldwide, Sunset Beach gives the audience a thrilling story about love, friendship, betray, greed, envy, and family.

Story:

Gregory Richards (Sam Berhens) is Sunset Beach most successful lawyer and with wealth he control the small town with an iron fist, the only thing he cannot control is his young teenage daughter Kaitlyn (Vanessa Dorman) who against her fathers will has met and fallen in love with a mysterious jewelry thief Cole (Eddie Cibrian) who could be the son of the legendary jewelry thief AJ Deschanel.

The towns detective Ricardo Torres (Hank Chayenne) finally proposes to his girlfriend Paula (Laura Harring), but their relationship turns to many strange unfortunate events, first Paula get kidnapped by a crazy hijacker but later rescued by Ricardo and police officer Eddie Connors (Peter Barton). But later after she finally recover, her unknown younger sister appears Gabi Martinez (Pricilla Garita) who before did try to seduce Ricardo at the night Paula got abducted, another bad news is the police officer Eddie is not only corrupt but also inlove with Paula, when find out about Gabi and Ricardo he put his scam into his plan.

Meanwhile Meg Cummings (Susan Ward) discover her soon to be husband Tim Truman (Dax Griffin) is having an affair, therefore she calls of the wedding, leaving Kansas City and heading to Sunset Beach to meet her mystery email friend who calls himself SB. On the beach she meet a mysterious British gentleman who owns a night club known as the Jawa Web. His name is Ben Evans (Clive Robertson) who has a dark mystery of a strange disappearance of his former wife Maria (Christina Chambers) who happens also to Ricardo sister, Ricardo has swore to get into Evans until he find the truth of what happened to his sister.

Overall:

When the series made a premiere in 1997 it started as a regular soap but for next episode after next episode it started to grow and become more serious and is proberly the best goodbye the 90s NBC has ever made. The cast is great for a soap opera cast, all play convincing well and make you feel you are related to the characters, Kathreen Noone who played the big mouth Betty is the best comic relief in history of tv series and help to bring a smile on your face on this otherwise dark story and sad story. Sunset Beach also has a lot of beauty, beautiful beaches, romantic music, and some romantic scenes, it's a TV series that brings beautiful memories of the 90s before it ended.

I'm pleased to give my first 10/10 Reward to Sunset Beach!
