CONFIRMED: Russell Brand And Julianne Hough To Star In Diablo Cody's LAMB OF GOD
Back at the beginning of August ScreenAnarchy was the first to report that Russell Brand had been offered the male lead role in Diablo Cody's directorial debut, Lamb Of God, with Julianne Hough emerging as the top choice for the female lead. Both of those casting selections have now been confirmed with Deadline reporting that both Brand and Hough are both officially on board the picture, which is apparently looking for a new title.
The Juno writer's directing effort is described this way:
The comedy follows a young conservative religious woman who loses her faith after a plane crash, decides to go to Las Vegas to live the life of a sinner, and on her journey finds her way back to her faith.
Mandate are backing the picture with Mason Novick producing while Nathan Kahane and Cody are on board as executive producers.
