BREAKING: Russell Brand Offered Co-Lead In Diablo Cody's LAMB OF GOD
Oh, lord, the people who hate Diablo Cody's hyper-stylized dialogue are going to have a field day with this:

Sources tell ScreenAnarchy that Russell Brand has been offered the part of 'William', the male lead in Cody's Mandate backed directorial debut. Cody has been generally quiet about the content of the film with the official announcement describing it simply this way:

The comedy follows a young conservative religious woman who loses her faith after a plane crash, decides to go to Las Vegas to live the life of a sinner, and on her journey finds her way back to her faith.

Things are not nearly as developed as far as who will take the lead female role as of yet but - wait for it - there are rumblings of Dancing With The Stars dancer Julianne Hough emerging as a top choice.

Yup. Russell Brand and a country singing dancer with minimal acting experience. Cody haters, there's your ammunition for the day.

Knowing the amount of hatred each of this pairing evokes with every new release, I fear I'll be catching this on my own. In an empty cinema. I quite like them both. Though that might change with the Evil Dead remake.

I'm a Cody fan, but wtf? It's going to be Jennifer's Body all over again.

Cody should now add the cast of Gilmore Girls and just go for it... go for it all, all that's in her little "punk rock" heart.
