First Images From Trashorras' BLIND ALLEY
If the name Antonio Trashorras strikes you as familiar there is a fighting chance that you are a fan of Guillermo Del Toro. Trashorras, you see, first rose to international prominence as the writer of Del Toro's The Devil's Backbone, and while he continues to be active as a writer Trashorras has been increasingly pushing into directing over recent years.

His short film work shows a love for the giallo films of Mario Bava and he is now making his feature debut with the currently in production Blind Alley (El Callejon).

In a tiny laundrette hidden down an alleyway, Rosa finds herself trapped, completely isolated and unable to escape the nightmarish situation of being attacked by a serial killer. At the break of dawn and after hours of anguish, immersed in the sadistic game of cat and mouse the killer has subjected her to, the young girl will discover something even more disturbing about the nature of her aggressor.

A Spanish-Colombian co-production this certainly pushes Trashorras into more clearly commercial territory than his short work but we've just gotten a look at the first images released from the film and I think you'll agree that the Bava influence is still there. Check them below.
