Prepare to be pissed off or awestruck: here is the trailer to Clint's "HEREAFTER".
Clint Eastwood's upcoming film "Hereafter" is about people suddenly having lost their loved ones through accidents, disasters and terrorist attacks, learning how to deal with their loss. So what better date to release the first trailer for it than the 11th of September?

Ehm... anyway. Matt Damon is the psychic who gets asked to contact the afterlife on behalf of surviving family members. The tragedies which caused the deaths here are either famous real-life events or are painfully close to it, like the London Public Transportation bombings in 2005 or the big tsunami of Christmas 2004.
The trailer features several people looking serious and rightly so, because considering the subject matter it would be mighty odd if this was a frivolous movie. Clint Eastwood is definitely taking chances here, but he's pulled off impossible feats before and is one of the few people I'd trust to make a classy film out of this.

If I sound conflicted in the above, it's because I am.
Psychics are not my favorite subject. I consider them to be fake in real life and at best an amusing McGuffin in fiction. Couple this with real-life tragic events and in my opinion you're walking a tightrope.

But the director is ace and so is most of the cast, so I'm definitely intrigued. Here's hoping we have Oscarbait approaching, not a sentimental trainwreck...
