Exclusive: Watch Short Film HELIO Now, the People Versus a Hostile Government

Debuting this past July at the Comic Con Independent Film Festival in San Diego, California, Helio won the prize for best sci-fi/fantasy film. The short goes underground (literally) to explore a nightmarish scenario in the near future.

Here's the official description:

Helio is a short, visceral film centered on a post apocalyptic underground society where miners work for light to survive. But when a dying rebel thrusts the unexpected onto an unassuming worker's lap, all hell breaks loose. What begins as one man's race to escape the hostile government quickly escalates into a city-wide uprising of the people.

Teddy Cecil wrote and directed. Barrett James stars. You can now watch the short in its entirety on YouTube.
