THE LODGERS: New Film From LET US PREY's Brian O'Malley Begins Production
News from Deadline today is that production has begun in Ireland on The Lodgers, a new film from the director of Let Us Prey Brian O'Malley.

The story follows a sister (Charlotte Vega) and brother (Bill Milner) haunted by a secret curse that forces them to remain in the large estate home left to them by their dead parents. But when a young man (Eugene Simon) who falls in love with the sister tries to free her, his attempt sets off a deadly chain reaction.

Directed by Brian O’Malley (Let Us Prey) from a script by David Turpin, the film stars Game of Thrones and Harry Potter alum David Bradley, fellow Game of Thrones vet Eugene Simon, Bill Milner, Charlotte Vega and Moe Dunford.

Cool trivia bit. Most of The Lodgers will be filmed at Ireland’s most famous haunted house, Loftus Hall. The story goes that Loftus is haunted by the ghost of a young woman and the devil Himself. Then impress your friends by letting them know that Loftus Hall is also celebrating its 666th anniversary this year.

The Lodgers was pitched at Frontieres Brussels last year so that is also a bit of good news for our friends from Fantasia. You can watch a teaser trailer below which was shot at Loftus Hall. Obviously it is not haunted enough or they would not be going back. Shame.

Epic Pictures (Big Ass Spider, Tales of Halloween and Nina Forever) will handle international sales as well as fulfilling executive production duties.
