Shane Black And Fred Dekker Hang On The EDGE Of A Series
A standout of these pilots is Edge, a darkly comedic and violent Western directed by Shane Black and cowritten by Fred Dekker. This is the first time the two have teamed up since the much beloved '80s creature comedy, Monster Squad. The pilot stars Max Martini (Pacific Rim, CSI), Ryan Kwanten (True Blood), and Yvonne Strahovski (24, Dexter), while genre fans will recognize Noah Segan.

Missouri, 1865. Josiah Hedges aka "Edge" returns home from the Civil War to discover his closest comrades-in-arms have betrayed him, sparking a bloody reign of vengeance. Doesn't seem like it might be the most original storyline, but by all accounts, the pilot looks to be a hit with viewers. Some call it "gritty" and "intense;" some are comparing Edge to Deadwood; and the positive five-star reviews dominate (as of this post) 76% of the reviews. Want to see it for yourself?
