PATCH TOWN: Things Get Very Weird In This Exclusive Alternate Trailer
Craig Goodwill's Patch Town is one seriously strange film - a dystopic musical set in a world where Certain Copyrighted Dolls Popular In the 1980s (tm) have grown up, stopped being cute, and are put to work in the factory as de facto slave labor preparing the next generation. It's a Gilliam inspired stew of oddity and with a June release date in theaters and on digital platforms fast approaching in both the US and Canada we are pleased to premier a very odd alternate poster - by Tom Hodge - and even odder alternate trailer today.

(Los Angeles - May 5, 2015) - Director/producer Craig Goodwill's award-winning debut feature, PATCH TOWN, will be released theatrically and via key digital platforms (iTunes, Amazon Instant Video, Google Play and other fine services) through Kino Lorber in the United States on June 5, 2015. Video Services Corp (VSC) will release the film on the same date in Canada theatrically, on Video on Demand and iTunes. Further release dates in Australia and the UK will be announced soon. The film is now available for pre-sale in the U.S. at itunes.com, and will be available on iTunes in Canada on May 11.

PATCH TOWN bowed at the 2014 Palm Springs International Film Festival and was featured in the Moscow, Shanghai, and Fantasia International Film Festivals, among others, and screened as part of the Telefilm Top 10 at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival, followed by a Best Feature Film win at the 2014 Canadian Film Festival.

"Kino Lorber and VSC are wonderful homes for PATCH TOWN, their passion for independent film demonstrates their dedication to a filmmaker's vision and their passion for the craft," said filmmaker Craig Goodwill.

The sci-fi adventure film stars Zoie Palmer ("Lost Girl," Sex After Kids), Rob Ramsay ("Blue Mountain State") and Julian Richings (Cube, Wrong Turn), was a audience favorite during its festival run and will have its theatrical premiere at the Cinema Village  in New York City, The Royal in Toronto, and Dollar Cinema in Montreal.

"We're looking forward to bringing PATCH TOWN to American audiences," said Kino Lorber President Richard Lorber. "Its quirky mix of whimsy and wickedness shows sure handed originality and talent in this first film; Craig's a talent to watch as festival audiences around the world already seem to agree."
"We're excited for Canadians to have the opportunity to enjoy PATCH TOWN," said VSC President Jonathan Gross. "The story and cast have great audience appeal and we are confident Canadians will respond."

PATCH TOWN is based on the award-winning short film of the same name, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. In North American folklore the stork delivers babies, but in Russian folklore, babies are born in the cabbage patch. Inspired by the award-winning short film of the same name, PATCH TOWN tells the story of Jon (Rob Ramsay), who has lived a sad life as an oppressed worker at a factory where hundreds of cabbage babies are born. Work on the assembly line is a thankless task of shucking, picking, and processing newborns to go out into the world and to their new adoptive mothers.
But when Jon discovers the awful secret that he and all the indentured workers are actually grown-up and discarded toys, he'll have to take on a villainous corporation to reunite with his long-lost mother, protect his newfound family, and finally find freedom.

PATCH TOWN was produced by David Sparkes and executive produced by Mark Montefiore with support from Telefilm Canada and Pinewood Studios.
