Brad Bird Will Work On THE INCREDIBLES 2 Next, Drops Hints He Would Not Say NO To STAR WARS
According to an interview with Collider (via THR) once Brad Bird's latest film, Tomorrowland, launches on May 22nd the director will turn his attention on the sequel to his hit animated film The Incredibles

"I had a lot of ideas for the original Incredibles that I didn't get a chance to use, that I like," Bird said. "I have ideas that I wanted to pursue a little bit, and there wasn't enough time in Incredibles. There are new ideas I have, and I think there are enough of those together to make an interesting movie."

Apparently Bird has also spoken to Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy about possibly picking up one of the Star Wars films.

"I was particularly attracted to the idea of picking up [a film in the franchise], and J.J. [Abrams] got very excited about the notion of shaping the next trilogy, and that idea was interesting to me too," Bird said. "But I'm writing [the Incredibles sequel], and I can't think too much farther beyond that. I have other things I want to do as well."

Another Incredibles film will be awesome! And with Star Wars running off into the unforeseeable future I am sure there will be an opportunity for Bird to jump in to the franchise.
