Full Trailer For Swedish YA Fantasy CIRKELN (THE CIRCLE)

It was back in August that we ran the first teaser for Levan Akin's adaptation of Mats Strandberg and Sara Bergmark Elfgren's Cirkeln (The Circle), the first in a series of hugely popular young adult fantasy novels with the feature version produced by ABBA's Benny Andersson. With a story revolving around a group of young women realizing that they have magical abilities and must protect the world from demonic forces it's easy to make comparisons to things like The Craft though the visual sensibility is much more in line with current YA blockbusters.

And now the full trailer for the film has arrived, this one even including English subtitles. I'm always curious how well youth oriented films like this will travel - i.e. will international audiences bite when the target audience has another Hunger Games movie to look forward to - but production values are certainly on par and I would expect this to be a massive local hit.
