Tremble Before The Awesome Power Of KUNG FURY! And Then Give Him Your Money.
Ladies and gentlemen, I want you to repeat this with me: 1980's inspired short film Kung Fury has an Oscar nominated producer amongst the team bringing it to fruition. You get that, people? Oscar nominated. This is art. Art that features skateboards, time hacking, a Viking babe with a machine gun, the Norse god Thor smiting Nazis, and a dinosaur riding hero. Art, I say! Art!

During an unfortunate series of events a friend of Kung Fury is assasinated by the most dangerous kung fu master criminal of all time; Adolf Hitler, a.k.a Kung F├╝hrer. Kung Fury decides to travel back in time, to Nazi Germany, in order to kill Hitler and end the Nazi empire once and for all. Kung Fury is a visually spectacular action comedy that has it's foundation in 80s cop movies.
Director / star / VFX guru David Sandberg has already shot the entire thirty minute film and completed the amazing trailer below - seriously, go watch it now and then come back to finish reading - and is currently running a Kickstarter campaign to raise the funds needed to get it through post production in timely fashion. Give him your money. Give it to him right now. Or Thor will smite you with his hammer.

I'm all in for 80s style Kung Fu Trash, but this is a bit too much for my taste. I don't like the look which ist too much videogame and the Vikin/dinosaur thing seems too much out of place. Hm.

Wow, as a child of the 80's and a love of trashy movies, this makes my junk numb. Ace.

Mateusz R. OrzechDecember 27, 2013 12:24 PM

Great! Kung Fuhrer is awesome!

Managing to sneak some nazisploitation in amplifies the awesome to beyond calculable.

Saw this trailer yesterday (and everyone is talking about it...) but honestly I am not really impressed. This is just a confused mess.

I would really watch a spoof comedy inspired to 80s cop movies, as i would watch a trash about a time traveling Hitler, or a B-movie about a wrong time travel which brings a dude on the viking era....but not EVERYTHING in the same damn movie.

This trailer (just my personal opinion guys) is not even close to the 'nerdgasm' I got when watching 4 years ago the first Teaser for Iron Sky, for example.

Mateusz R. OrzechDecember 28, 2013 12:50 PM

Indeed it does.

And I hope that if the final product will be ready, kung fu fights will be also well choreographed and won't be only treated as cheesy fun.

I don't know your opinion about "Iron Sky", but after great teasers and trailers the final product was utterly disappointing for me, so hopefully (a little bit) worse trailer will mean that this time we'll receive a better film.

I actually enjoyed it, a lot
