WANTED Director Timur Bekmambetov To Direct Michael Bay's HEATSEEKERS

Timur Bekmambetov, director of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, Wanted, and the Night Watch and Day Watch films out of Russia, is reportedly on board to direct Heatseekers, an aerial action film produced by Michael Bay. Andrew Formand Brad Fuller from Platinum Dunes banner, known mostly for producing horror reboots and Chris Morgan, writer of four of the Fast and Furious movies and Wanted, are also producing.

We can all agree on some things. It will be pretty to look at; Timur has already proven he can deliver strong visuals. It will be loud and stuff will blow up real good; cause hey, its Michael Bay. Where I am at a loss is in the brief description of the film...

Plot details are scarce but it is known to center on an ex-military pilot who takes on a group of aerial pirates.

Aerial Pirates? I'm curious about this film just to see how you would make that work. How do you stop pirates at a cruising altitude of 31,000 feet at speeds between 500 and 600 mph? And what are the pirates raiding? Rich merchant airliners, their bulkheads filled to the rim with golden treasure? You just cannot open a window and yell at them to quit it, you know? Cabin pressure and all.
