RZA Tackling Grant Morrison's HAPPY: A Tale Of Hitmen, Santa Suited Pedophiles, And A Little Blue Horse
Until the RZA's directorial debut, The Man With The Iron Fists, hits screens November 2nd nobody will really know whether the former hiphop icon has got what it takes to make the transition to directing films. But while the lengthy delays to Iron Fists certainly throw up some warning signs - the release date was pushed back for more than a year, during which time the film apparently underwent some significant restructuring - RZA is certainly not without his supporters and he's already moving on to film number two.

Word has come out of the New York COmic Con that RZA has teamed with comic book creator Grant Morrison and producer Reginald Hudlin to bring Morrison's Happy to the big screen with Morrison himself providing the script. The story? It's a weird one ...

Meet Nick Sax -- a corrupt, intoxicated ex-cop turned hitman, adrift in a stinking twilight world of casual murder, soulless sex, eczema and betrayal. With a hit gone wrong, a bullet in his side, the cops and the mob on his tail, and a monstrous child killer in a Santa suit on the loose, Nick and his world will be changed forever this Christmas. By a tiny blue horse called Happy...
Yep: pedophilia, hit men and a little blue horse. Give RZA this much, at the very least: He's not going for the easy ones.
