POSTHUMAN Teaser Is Adrenaline Fueled Anime Goodness

I've been on an anime kick lately, with the new Space Battleship Yamato 2199, and Macross Frontier fueling that fire. Now along comes PostHuman, a 6 minute short film from Humoring The Fates Animation Studio, a commercial studio whose client roster includes Nike, Mattel, and Microsoft. PostHuman is no ad campaign though, rather it's a calling card of narrative animation that wouldn't be out of place in something like the amazing Genius Party anthology films. It's on par with the best of the best.

Recalling the work of greats like Katsuhiro Otomo and Satoshi Kon, PostHuman is, simply put, 100% rad! Self-funded by Humoring The Fates Cole Drumb and Jennifer Wai-Yin Luk, * written and directed by Cole Drumb, and featuring the voice talents of Ulric Dihle as "Terrance" and Battlestar Galactica femme fatale Tricia Helfer as "Kali", PostHuman's scant running time left me wanting more. This is one of those short pieces that I find myself hitting replay on again and again, like some sort of pleasure button that I can't tear myself away from.

Playing Fantastic Fest in Austion, TX as part of the Drawn and Quartered: Animated Shorts program, this is a do not miss fpr fans of eyeball candy and hard sci-fi. The plot, from the press release is as follows -

PostHuman follows Terrence and his dog Nine in an adrenalized future of espionage, super science, and assassins.
Terrence agrees to help Kali, an escaped test subject from a black ops ESP test lab, in her effort to free the last surviving imprisoned test subject.The assault on the lab is fast paced and intense as Terrence uses every hacker trick he knows to destroy the lab's defenses and give Kali the opportunity to free her tortured lab mate, Benjamin.
Gritty, hyperstylized, and dripping with intense images, PostHuman is NSFW, for children, or adults with no sense of adventure.
