TIFF 2012: Marisa Tomei Has Got That Look in First Clip from INESCAPABLE
Alexander Siddig plays a Syrian ex-pat who has to return to his home country after 25 years when his daughter goes missing in Ruba Nadda's upcoming TIFF thriller Inescapable. As we can see in this first clip, he also finds waiting for him an old (and very fiery) flame played by the even-more-gorgeous-with-time Marisa Tomei. There is sure to be all kinds of political intrigue on the Syrian side of the border (Joshua Jackson also stars), but for now his concern seems to be finding out just how happy Tomei's character is to have him back.
Canadian-born Writer-Director Ruba Nadda is quickly distinguishing herself as one of the strongest voices in the Arab film world. Her last film Cairo Time took home the Best Canadian Feature Film award at TIFF 2009. Check out TIFF poster here and the clip below. We'll have more on Inescapable when it premieres at TIFF September 10th.
