New Red Band Trailer For John Hillcoat's LAWLESS Is By Far The Best Yet

John Hillcoat's Lawless is gearing up for an August 29th release, a fact that has prompted the release of a brand new red band trailer. Now, usually when things go red band it's about ramping up the sensationalist parts of the film but they're going a bit of a different route here. Sure, there's violence and nudity but it's all strictly contained within the mood and tone of the storytelling. If anything it's a moodier, more tone driven trailer than the previous efforts. It's also far and away the best one yet.

LAWLESS is the true story of the infamous Bondurant Brothers: bootlegging siblings who made a run for the American Dream in Prohibition-era Virginia. In this epic outlaw tale, inspired by true-life tales of author Matt Bondurant's family in his novel "The Wettest County In The World", the loyalty of three brothers is put to the test against the backdrop of the nation's most notorious crime wave.
