BREAKING: Chris Pratt In Talks For Kathryn Bigelow's KILL BIN LADEN
Kathryn Bigelow is aiming to completely reinvent the public image of Parks And Recreation star Chris Pratt. Though the actor is best know for his comedic work ScreenAnarchy has learned that he is now in talks to take on the lead role for Bigelow's true life action drama, now officially untitled but still widely referred to by it's original name of Kill Bin Laden.

The Hurt Locker director has had an interesting ride on this one, the project leaping in profile and needing to be rebuilt from the ground up when US forces actually succeeded in killing Osama Bin Laden. Since then there have been accusations that the Obama administration has been illegally feeding the filmmakers classified information about the actual operation to advance their own political agenda, a report that may have led to the proposed release date being pushed back until after the next US federal election.

Of course that delay may have also been due to a slow casting process. It was widely reported in May that Joel Edgerton had been attached to the film but had to drop the project due to his schedule, while rumors have been circulating about Tom Hardy, Guy Pearce and Idris Elba. Jason Clarke reportedly landed a role in November. The sharp eyed among you may realize that the common feature of all of these actors is that none of them are American, which is an odd circumstance for a reality based film revolving around an actual US military operation. Pratt ticks the 'American' box for the film, at the very least.

Producers are now aiming for a February start to production.
