TIFF 2011: First Look At Nick Stahl In Vincenzo Natali Produced Thriller 388 ARLETTA AVE
In December of 2010 I had the chance to visit the set of Randall Cole's 388 Arletta Ave, a new thriller produced by Splice director Vincenzo Natali. It was as close to an invisible film set that I've ever been on, so much so that if I hadn't known exactly where I was going I would have missed it, the production style tailored to match the central conceit of the film.

Seen entirely from the point of view of hand-held and surveillance cameras, 388 Arletta Avenue tells the story of a couple, Nick Stahl and Mia Kirshner, who do not realize they are being watched. The watching becomes a subtle manipulation which ultimately escalates into a deadly cat-and-mouse game.
