for the film to be cleared for wide release in Korea and very shortly afterward word became to gather that this was not accurate.

has confirmed directly with the film's producers that I Saw The Devil
was required to make seven cuts to the film, with the total run time of removed material adding up to somewhere between eighty and ninety seconds. While still significant, this is nowhere near as drastic as what was originally reported ...
