The International Trailer For THE GREEN HORNET Is Shorter, Therefore Better.
Oh, Michel Gondry, what have ye wrought?

A new international trailer for Gondry's Green Hornet arrived today, one that clocks in a full thirty seconds shorter than the initial trailer and one that benefits considerably from being tightened up. Are the problems with the first trailer all about editing? Sadly I still think no. The editing was certainly a problem but there are more and I think the core comes at the forty four second mark of this new trailer and was also included in the original one. It's the scene where Kato opens up the wall to reveal the hidden stack of weapons. Look at the expression on Seth Rogen's face. While there are moments where Rogen works in this trailer this aint one of them. Instead of looking like a potential hero he reacts like a half stoned frat boy being shown a big bag of weed or some chips to deal with his munchies. And a Smith and Wesson should generate a different response than a bag of Ruffles. It just should. I'm not convinced, boys ...
