The Official ALIEN VERSUS NINJA Trailer Arrives!
Soon to have it's World Premiere as part of the New York Asian Film Festival - 6pm, July 3rd, at the Japan Society for those who want to be there - beforer traveling on to Fantasia directors Seiji Chiba and Yuji Shimomura bring on the man-in-suit splatter with Alien Versus Ninja.

For the uninitiated, Chiba is a veteran director of numerous ninja films - most much more straight faced than this - while Shimomura was the action director on cult hit Versus and the director of Death Trance and the two combined their talents on what was the inaugural production of Nikkatsu's fledgling Sushi Typhoon cult film label. I had the chance to see this a couple nights ago and while I'll hold the review until the festival rolls around, it's big bags of fun featuring some very solid action choreography, loads of splatter effects and a whole lot of ninjas involved in hand to hand content with a very slimy man-in-suit alien. Plus it's got a hot chick in stretchy pants, so it's everything a growing boy needs, basically.  Here's the official synopsis:

Once upon a time in Japan, there was a band of great Iga Ninja warriors, led by Yamata. One day, they witness a flash in the sky, and a roaring giant ball of fire crashing into the distant forest. The warriors rush into the deep woods in an attempt to identify the mysterious fireball. There, betraying their expectations, they are stunned to find new enemies. Never-seen-before creatures with claws and fangs; ALIENS! The hungry brutal aliens starts to savage and feast on the Ninja warriors, leaving only few to survive. Yamata and his warriors swear to avenge their comrades' deaths, risking their lives to challenge the aliens. However, none of their Ninja weapons, neither the swords nor the throwing stars, have any affect on the aliens. Now, the Japanese greatest Iga Ninja face the biggest challenge ever!
A trailer for this one leaked a good while back but that version was very low quality both in terms of video quality and in terms of the English translation. It wasn't ready yet, wasn't meant to be seen, and it showed. But now it's finished, it's official, the translation makes perfect sense and the video quality is good. We've got your first official look below.
