Marché du Film: Xavier Gens' FRONTIER(S) (FRONTIÈRES)
Distribution rights for Xavier Gens' Frontier(s) (Frontières) are to be offered for sale by EuropaCorp S.A. at this year's Marché du Film in Cannes, which runs from May 16th to 26th. Optimum Releasing Limited has acquired U.K. distribution rights for the movie; Tiberius Film GmbH & Co. KG has acquired German distribution rights for it. EuropaCorp plans to release it theatrically in France this summer.
The screenplay for Frontier(s) was written by Gens. The movie apparently stars Karina Testa, Samuel Le Bihan, Maud Forget, Estelle Lefébure, David Saracino, Patrick Ligardes, Amélie Daure, Chems Dahmani, Aurélien Wiik, Adel Bencherif, Jean-Pierre Jorris, and Joël Lefrançois.
Here's a synopsis for Frontier(s) from the production: "While an extreme right-wing candidate advances to the second ballot of the presidential election, a group of young armed robbers holes up in a backwoods inn. The inn is located in an old mining wasteland, and its managers are a particularly sordid lot [to wit, (neo-)Nazi cannibals]."
