KISMATH Trailer Promises a Powerful Look at Fate
Shane Nigam made a mark in a couple of small roles in film's directed by Rajeev Ravi -- he played Anna's brother in Annayum Rasoolum and more recently had a small role in the Dulquer Salmaan starrer Kammatipaadam. In Kismath -- also produced by Rajeev Ravi and Shailaja Manikandan, and written and directed by debut director Shanavas K. Bavakutty -- he has his first lead role, playing the rebellious Irfan, an engineering school drop-out in love with a girl (Shruthi Menon -- probably best known for her hosting duties on Vodaphone's Comedy Stars as well as a number of small movie roles) from another faith, a relationship his family objects to.
Vinay Fortt is one of Malayalam cinema's most dependable and talented supporting actors, and after Kammatipaadam and last year's blockbuster Premam, he will be seen as a police officer in Kismath.
Suresh Ragan (Masala Republic, Camel Safari) helms the camera and music is by Sumesh Parameswar, Shamej Sreedhar and Sushin Shyam (the latter perhaps best known as the keyboardist of the thrash metal band The Down Troddence)
Kismath opens in Kerala on July 29th.
