SAVE YOURSELF Trailer Promises Chills
Director Ryan M. Andrews has just released his trailer for Save Yourself, a film about a bevy of women on the film festival circuit --- in peril. They leave one film screening to attend the L.A. premiere of their new horror film. The trouble is, the film's director, Crystal LaCroix (played by the fierce Tristan Risk), disappears. While searching for their friend, the ladies run into a seriously demented family whose roots run toward the historic side of the macabre.

"I call Save Yourself my love letter to the horror genre, because it encompasses not just one style of the genre, but all styles on the horror spectrum," Andrews explains. "It has slasher elements as well as the psychological thriller, and even a little grindhouse as well. And it's all wrapped together with a sophisticated bow. I miss the sophistication that Vincent Price and Peter Cushing brought to horror, so while the film is fun and sexy with a strong female cast, there is a strong artful layer throughout."

The film plays its world premiere at the New York City Horror Film Festival on Friday, November 13th, at 7:15pm. The festival will also be handing out awards to Tom Atkins (Halloween III: Season Of The Witch, Night Of The Creeps, The Fog) and Sean Cunningham (Friday The 13th).
