The New MACHETE Trailer. Utter Madness. Watch Now.
Dear Robert Rodriguez: Thank you.

The new trailer for Rodriguez' grindhouse throwback Machete has arrived and it is absolutely, utterly daft. So daft that it has Steven Seagal as the second billed actor. So daft that it 'introduces' Don Johnson. And so daft that it features a fully automatic gatling gun mounted to the front handlebars of a motorcycle. And Cheech Marin as a priest. The only thing that could make this movie crazier is an injection of Lindsay Lohan. Oh, look, it's got her, too.

What it's also got is a MASSIVE injection of the "Fuck off, we're going for it" energy that the Weinstein company were clearly hoping for but largely didn't get from their Grindhouse experiment. Yes, please.

More about Machete

The Arizona trailer was the best ad of the year -but this generic one SUCKS. Cue the base rumble, fades to black, and girl's narration "I saw him..." Come on, that is pure hollywood garbage, right down to the explosive title.
I hope the movie is more like the original trailer which was witty, gritty, and fresh. Because in the current trailer I am not surprised to see Steven Seagal and Lohan ...and that's a bad thing.

I've watched the Machete trailer and cannot see LiLo anywhere..... maybe she has a really small (uncredited) bit part.....but I DO see Jessica Alba and Michelle Rodriguez....:o)

They need to do a crazy trailer to the DJ Hazard song Machete VIP.

I still like the special "Cinco De Mayo" (aka "Here's 2 You, AZ") trailer best (it made me feel all warm n' fuzzy inside)... ;)

Danny Trejo is GOD

LiLo actually has a pretty big part but it looks like they're keeping her out of the marketing with all of the drama surrounding her in real life right now. Seems a missed opportunity to me, given what sort of film this is ...

I second the 'Cinco de Mayo' sentiment above.

Looks bland so far. Will need to see more before formulating a better opinion. Cheech Marin is fun, though.
