Second SAIGON BODYGUARDS Trailer Delivers More Action, More Story, Less Clothing

It was just over a week ago that we shared the first trailer for the Canada / Korea / Vietnamese produced action comedy Saigon Bodyguards. And while the involvement of the producer of Hobo With A Shotgun was certainly a bit of a curiosity on a Vietnamese language film there was no denying that the Kim Ly and Thai Hoa star vehicle showed great promise.

And now, in a second trailer, it shows a lot more of a lot of things. More action, more story and quite a lot more of both Ly and Hoa, in multiple senses.

The Vietnamese film industry is in a fascinating period of transition and continued growth right now with budgets and resources continuing to grow and a talent base rising up to meet the demands of an audience growing in both size and sophistication seemingly daily. So while this may not have the sort of resources behind it that its Korean backers at CJ may throw behind their Korean language projects it certainly seems to represent a strong step forward into slick commercial cinema for Vietnam.
