The good folks at Mexican distribution company ZatMeni know very well that the ScreenAnarchy reader loves weird and cult movies. They also dig that kind of glorious stuff, actually; proof is that their DVD catalog includes the Juan López Moctezuma collection, with three films by this cult Mexican director, plus the documentary on his most famous picture, Alucarda.
And so, ZatMeni has been kind enough to give us six DVD copies of Alucarda, one of the quintessential titles if you talk about Mexican horror cinema. Moctezuma passed away on August 2, 1995; since then, his work has been gaining more and more popularity within new generations, with film festivals like Macabro and Morelia paying respect to his legacy. I don't think we need any more excuses to give away these DVDs of Alucarda, right?
If you live in Mexico and want one copy, all you need to do is email me here (under the subject "Alucarda DVD"):
1) The title of the Juan López Moctezuma directed film that Quentin Tarantino presented on a 35mm print at Morelia 2013 (you can find the answer here), and
2) Your name and postal address
The contest will close at 11:59 PM (Mexico City time) on Friday, August 8. The six lucky winners will be drawn at random and notified via email by August 9. Good luck, Mexico based readers!
