Deadline is reporting that Sophie Wilde, star of Talk to Me and Babygirl, is set to star in an upcoming sci-fi thriller, Soon You Will Be Gone And Possibly Eaten.
Rob and Sabile, a young engaged couple, who head to a secluded mountain resort to take their vows and step into the new chapter of their shared lives. What was planned as a joyous wedding attended by family members takes a different turn when unexpected guests crash the ceremony.
Apart from being an early contender for film title of the year, and having Wilde attached to the project, there are equally interesting people on board, who have been doing interesting things as well.
Egor Abramenko, the filmmaker behind A24’s upcoming horror film Altar and Russian sci-fi Sputnik, will direct from a script by Luke Piotrowski and Ben Collins, the writing team behind Hulu’s Hellraiser and Searchlight and Anton’s The Night House.The script is based on the short story by Nick Antosca, creator-showrunner of Apple TV’s upcoming Cape Fear series starring Javier Bardem and Amy Adams.Egor Abramenko said: “I was blown away by Nick Antosca’s short story. From the get-go, it was a very fresh take on the alien genre, which is a really rare thing.”
Production, distribution and sales company Anton is financing the film and handling world rights. Domestic sales are being handled by Anton, Anonymous Content and WME Independent. Anton heads into Berlin/EFM with the project in hopes to drum up pre-sales and offset production costs.
Production is expected to begin this spring.

Anton is fully financing the film and handling worldwide rights, launching sales at EFM.
