The first teaser for Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk is not about the stars of the movie (including Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, Mark Rylance, and Kenneth Branagh) nor about the external forces that left Allied soldiers from Belgium, Britain and France surrounded by the German army in France and badly in need of rescue.
No, the teaser is about the soldiers, the ordinary joes who were bunched up by the hundreds of thousands, sitting ducks for the German army.
This is only a teaser -- Warner Bros. calls it an "announcement" -- but reports indicate the movie's focus will indeed stick with the soldiers, waiting for rescue. Watch the video below and share your initial impressions. Dunkirk is scheduled to open on July 21, 2017.
