You get the film on Blu-ray and DVD, in different versions (unrated and R-rated), in new 2K transfers, and loads of extras, including old and new commentaries. And they included the 1992 Dawn of the Re-Animator graphic novel, which I think is very very cool.
Here is a gallery of shots. Click on the edge of the pictures to scroll through them, or at the center of each to see a bigger version.
And here it is: a black cardboard box with eerie green lines on it.
Nicely embossed green lines though!
In the box there are the digipak and a 96-page graphic novel.
All contents opened: The digipak reveals not just its three discs, but also another booklet and the certificate of authenticity.
The booklet is 24 pages, and has a great essay on the film in it by Michael Blyth.
All sides of the digipak, inside and out, are covered in fun Lovecraftian green sketches.
A closer look at the 96-page graphic novel, titled Re-Animator: Dawn of the Re-Animator.
This is a reprint of the 4-issue limited series published in 1992 by Adventure Comics, and all the pages and (colored) covers are there. A damn fun extra to have with the film!
The end... or was it? This is Re-Animator after all, and who knows what Arrow plans with the other sequels...
