Exclusive Clip: In CODE OF HONOR, Steven Seagal Sits Calmly And Exudes Menace

What would it be like to sit across the table from Steven Seagal while he glowers at you?

In our exclusive clip from Code of Honor, we get a sense of the experience. FBI agent Craig Sheffer enters a night club and joins Seagal at a table where they have a brief conversation. For additional context, here's the official synopsis:

When his family is killed in a drive-by shooting, former special-ops operative Robert Sikes (Steven Seagal, Above the Law) vows to rid his city of every last criminal. With the help of a witness (Helena Mattsson, Iron Man 2), Sikes's former protégé, FBI agent Porter (Craig Sheffer, The Program), tries to find his vigilante friend before the police -- or the maniacal mobster Romano -- are able to.

Seagal has appeared in dozens of movies since the turn of the century, most drawing scant attention (sadly, for good reason), but I'm feeling unreasonably optimistic about Code of Honor, in part because Seagal is well used in our exclusive clip as well as the film's trailer, both of which you can watch below.

The film will open in select theaters and On Demand on May 6, 2016.

What do you think? Am I out of my mind? Is there a chance of Seagal rising back to the big screen from the small screen at this point of his career? Or has home video become his permanent home? *
