According to a report over at Deadline Paramount and MGM have given their new Death Wish movie to directers Aharon Keshales and Navot Papushado.
The Israeli duo burst onto the scene with their debut Rabies and cemented their reputation in the fantastic cinema circle with their followup Big Bad Wolves in 2013. Since then they made a chapter for the horror anthology ABCs of Death 2 but things have been quiet for them since then.
The new take hews closely to the book, about an architect whose life is destroyed by a violent crime against his wife and daughter. Frustrated that the perpetrators are not held to pay for the violence and degradation these thugs inflicted on his family, the architect takes to the streets and begins dispatching bad guys himself.
This is really exciting news because as the lads proved with Big Bad Wolves these guys know how to handle tension and dish out revenge. We are really excited to see what these guys bring to the project.
Bruce Willis is set to star in the pic and production is reported to start in the Summer.
