But I also mean chugging along like a train as they have announced that they are handling international sales of the Canadian sci-fi flick Prisoner X, a film we wrote about just over a year ago.
Raven Banner Entertainment will be representing world rights, (excluding Canada), at this year's European Film Market in Berlin to Gaurav Seth's gripping Sci-Fi thriller, PRISONER X. The film stars Michelle Nolden (Christmas Horror Story), Romano Orzari (Turbo Kid) , Damon Runyan (Dead of Winter), and Julian Richings (The Witch).
Based on the Hugo-nominated novella "Truth" by Robert Reed, Prisoner X takes us to a time where the world rages in seemingly endless war and civil strife. Enter Carmen Reese, a CIA agent sent in to interrogate a time-traveling terrorist, a prisoner known only as 'Ramiro', whom she believes is responsible for the unfolding global catastrophe. What ensues is a race against time itself.
The indie sci-fi thriller with financing from Telefilm Canada, and an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign, was produced by Avi Federgreen (Dead Before Dawn 3D) and Robyn Bigué (The Amazing Race Canada).
Prisoner X is a follow-up to Seth's earlier films Pink Ludoos and A Passage to Ottawa, his first feature which received a Crystal Bear at the Berlin Film Festival.
